Our story
Three generations, one workshop, and a stubborn belief that jewellery should be made to be worn.
Shri Shakti Jewels began in 1974 with a single bench, a jeweller's loupe and a conviction that has not changed since: a piece of jewellery is not finished when it looks good in a photograph. It is finished when it is comfortable on the third hour of a wedding, when the clasp still holds after ten years, and when the reverse — the side no one but the wearer will ever see — has been finished as carefully as the front.
Made by hand, here
Every piece in this collection is made in our own workshop. Our craftsmen set stones, chase gold and finish settings by hand, using techniques that have been passed down through the families who work with us. Some of our bridal pieces take four to five months from first sketch to final polish. We think that is the right amount of time.
Why we do not sell online
Jewellery is one of the few things left that genuinely has to be seen. Colour, scale and how a piece sits on a real hand or a real neck simply do not survive a screen. So this website is a catalogue, not a shop: browse everything we make, save what you would like to see, and send us your list. We will have those pieces cleaned, ready and waiting when you arrive — no obligation, no pressure, and a cup of chai.
What you can expect
- Full transparency on materials. Metal, purity, weight and stone details are listed on every piece.
- Certification on request. Diamonds above 0.30 carat are supplied with independent certification.
- Complimentary aftercare. Annual cleaning, polishing and prong checks for the life of the piece.
- Resizing and restringing. Complimentary within the first year, at cost thereafter.
- Bespoke commissions. Bring us a sketch, a stone, or an heirloom to reimagine.
